Minglu Michele Guo is a current law student at St. Thomas University School of Law, serving as vice president of the Immigration Law Student Association.  As part of her J.D. curriculum, Ms. Guo completed a course on Human Trafficking Law and Policy taught by international expert and scholar, Dr. Roza Pati.  She also earned a certificate from The John J. Brunetti Human Trafficking Academy.

Born in China and immigrating from Canada, Ms. Guo graduated from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice with Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice Management and Police Studies. She returned to John Jay College to receive her Master of Public Administration in Inspection and Oversight along with an Advanced Certificate of Criminal Investigation. Ms. Guo is an honored member of Alpha Phi Sigma, the National Criminal Justice Honor Society, Phi Alpha Alpha, and the Global Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration.

Prior to moving to Miami, Ms. Guo worked at the New York City Council as a financial staff, and at the office of U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer of New York as an Immigration Matter Assistant.  Ms. Guo was also a senior paralegal in law firms specializing in areas of family law, immigration law, estate planning, and criminal defense.
